Processing is an important link affecting the quality of prepainted plates. In order to ensure product quality, some precautions when processing are given below for reference. Specific regulations on processing can be referred to the relevant materials or consult experts.
Because the surface of the prepainted plate is coated, there are many differences between it and ordinary cold-rolled plate and coated plate during processing, and the main difference is that it must be formed under the premise of ensuring that the coating is intact. Precautions during processing are as follows:
1. Mechanical properties are an important indicator to measure formability, and are important parameters for determining and adjusting processing technology, so they should be considered first when processing.
2. Pencil hardness, T bending, impact work and other indicators are closely related to processing performance, so they should be fully considered.
3. When the shape of the part is complex and the degree of deformation is large, multi-pass forming should be used. If it is formed once, the adhesion force between the coating and the substrate may be damaged due to excessive deformation.
4. When processing, appropriate gaps should be set according to mold shape, deformation characteristics, process conditions and other factors, and the thickness of the coating should be considered when setting the gaps.
5. Most coatings can be used as solid lubricants and can meet the lubrication requirements of most forming processes, and some coatings can improve the lubricity of the coating by adjusting the formula. If the lubricity of the coating is insufficient, the lubricity can be improved by oiling, waxing, covering peelable protective film and other methods. However, it should be noted that wet lubricants are easy to absorb dirt and should be removed before installation. The peelable protective film should also be removed as soon as possible after the end of construction.
6. Reasonable processing speed should be set according to equipment conditions, process conditions, parts shape and other factors, and too high deformation speed can easily lead to coating peeling. The flexibility of the coating decreases at low temperatures, so low-temperature processing should be avoided. If the ambient temperature is low, the material should be heated to a certain temperature before processing.
7. The cut section generated during processing is prone to corrosion, so necessary protective measures should be taken, such as applying protective coatings, embedded seals, etc.
8. When processing, the burr of the cutting surface should be minimized to prevent the burr from scratching the surface.
9. All surfaces in contact with the coating should be kept clean and tidy, and chips and metal particles generated during processing should be cleaned up in time to prevent foreign matter from damaging the coated surface.
10. During processing, the wear of the roll surface or mold surface of the forming roller should be minimized, the contact surface should be kept smooth, and the coating surface should be prevented from indentation, scratches and other defects.
11. The construction method of factory pre-assembly and then sent to the site for installation should be adopted as much as possible, and protective measures should be taken during installation to prevent damage to the coating.
12. If the surface of the coating is found to be damaged during processing, special repair coatings should be used in time to repair to prevent corrosion at the damaged places.
